Twas the Night Before Christmas Eve

Twas the night before Christmas Eve, when all through the flat
Everyone was scurrying, even the gnat

The stockings were hung over the radiator with care
In hopes that just maybe they would dry faster there

The flatmates were wishing they were snug in their beds
But things to put in the suitcase kept popping into their heads.

With Julie in two layers, and I in my three
We had almost finished packing - hooray, yippee

When into my head clamored such a thought,
I hope all this excitement hasn't been for naught.

The plane is supposed to take off tomorrow at noon
I cannot wait much longer, I'm glad it is soon

Please don't let it snow, or ice for that matter
If my flight gets delayed, my joy will be shattered

You see I'm headed toward home to see my fam'ly
I'm looking forward to it - just think, Tennessee!

I'll see Momma and Daddy and Lauren and Ashley,
Newcomers Aaron and Tyler and my favorite Grannie.

So have a Happy Christmas and to others be a light,
Merry Christmas Eve Eve to all and to all a good-night.

First of all, this is fantastic. Second of all, have you ever seen "Eloise at Christmastime?" She celebrates Christmas Eve Eve, as well!
