While at "Hotel Pigeon" I was able to enjoy all the hotel had to offer - including an indoor water park. While I'm not a big water slide fan, there were plenty of other opportunities for me to enjoy the water/spa.
For instance, the indoor wave pool was pretty neat; although, I never could time it right so that the waves and I were in the pool at the same time. I did greatly enjoy the "I don't know what it's called" pool that had a waterfall feeding into it and a massive fountain in the middle - it was pretty nice. The kiddie pool was super for the little ones and just deep enough that I could sit in it with my friends and catch up with them as they kept an eye on their kids.
Oh, and I can't forget the heated hot tubs - with various levels of saltiness depending on how healthy you wanted to become. There was even a "Salt Cave" where you could lay out in a room covered in salt and breathe in the vapors - it's supposed to be good for your health. I didn't actually participate in this one, but it looked kind of interesting.
But the best thing (and the most European one) by far, was the Eucalyptus Sauna. Quite honestly, it was amazing!! I'd never been to a sauna before, but now, I'm a fan - at least of this one. It was kind of weird - I'm pretty sure I could actually feel the toxins perspiring out of my body. Plus my "might be trying to turn into a head-cold" congestion disappeared like magic. Then to follow up the heat, you go into the "Snow Grotto" which is kept at -15C (that's 5F) to cool down. It has ice/snow on the floor, sides, even the ceiling! While I'm not normally a fan of cold - its was pretty cool - as in neato-burrito! I'm not really sure how it improved my health, but it was fun and now I can say I've experienced it.
The best part of my European spa adventure? I was in a place that believes in bathing suits!! Praise the Lord!
