Sometimes I Feel Like Chicken Little

Do you remember Chicken Little?  She was a major alarmist who told all of her rhyming-named friends that the sky was falling.

Sometimes I feel like her.  Not the alarmist, must spread the word side of her, but I can completely relate to the sky "falling."  Now, you may think me a bit odd, but I'm telling you, the sky is closer to earth here.  I think it's actually the fact that the sky almost always has a low cloud cover, but even on the rare occasions when you see blue skies, it just seems as though the sky is hanging right over your head.  Compounded with the closeness of all of the buildings and the fact that I live in a valley it can be quite "claustriphobiating."  Sometimes I feel that there is nowhere to go that you can breathe in a good breath of uncrowded, unfilled, open-spaced air.

So, while I really do enjoy the closeness of everything that allows me to walk as a mode of transportation in a reasonable amount of time,  I must admit that I am ready to once again enjoy the wide open space that a Tennessee sky has to offer.
