Tonight I watched The Sound of Music for the first time since the Sound of Volcanic Ash Disaster. For a while, I had even turned the DVD so that the title didn't show. But, in an effort to continue to be a grown-up (see previous entry), I decided that tonight was the night to face it.
The only problem now is that I have the Lonely Goatherd song stuck in my head.
Oh well, there are worse things.
Random tidbit: It was once reported that The Sound of Music was chosen by the BBC to be broadcast in the event of a nuclear strike in the UK to raise the morale of survivors. I have no idea of the validity of this claim, but it's still an interesting tidbit.

I, too, have been unable to watch it. But, on the trip to the US, I listened to the soundtrack as a gesture of goodwill. Apparently, we think alike. :)
