I would walk 500 miles . . . .

I've never actually heard this song, only the two lines that used to play on the Time Life music collection commercial. You know, where they showcase various songs that you just "have to have" as part of your collection.

"I would walk 500 miles, and then I'd walk 500 more . . . "
"Down in the old Texas town of El Paso, I fell in love with a Mexican girl . . ."
"Please help me, I'm fa-allin in lo-ove with you . . . "
"Put your sweet lips a little closer to the phone . . ."

Anyway, the 500 miles bit is very apropos for this post.

I'm tired of wearing sensible shoes worthy of the 500 miles.

Today, I'm making a resolution, that one of these days when my feet are not my main mode of transportation around town I will once again own, wear, and appreciate cute shoes.

Maybe in my next career I'll design super-cute shoes that are sturdy and durable. I'd be rich! Although, I think that sturdy is the antithesis of cute in the shoe realm. Hmmm.

Oh well. As of today, only 21 more days until I can raid the box under my bed at my parents' house and be as impractical as I want for 11 whole days. Now, which cute shoes should I wear first?

Hey there cousin!
I talked to Lauren yesterday and it made me remember that I hadn't commented on your blog recently. I have your blog in my google reader meaning that as soon as you post, I read! Thanks for taking the time to keep us in the loop about your life in the UK. I know you're ready for a break and some home time! 21 days left? That's not too bad!!!! Love you! Sharon

I think you should definitely change shoes about 5 times a day while you are here! I would be so sad if I couldn't wear cute shoes! Durable shoes are not cute at all...you could most definitely make some money if you designed cute, yet durable shoes! And I'd be the first to buy some!
