The Longest Shortest Day

Today is the shortest day of the year.  A whopping seven hours and 52 minutes of "official" sunshine - sunrise to sunset; however, with overcast skies, it was probably closer to about six and a half hours of daylight.  Grrr . . . these winter days are hard!  Especially since I've been up for about 32 1/2 hours courtesy of an overnight flight, followed by a day at work.

The great part was seeing my family.  The super-stinky part was having to leave them.  The most annoying part is that I think I just got my second wind and won't be able to fall asleep when I finally lay down to sleep in a few minutes.  We'll see.

Hopefully sometime soon I will be well enough and un-jet-lagged enough at the same time to blog about my recent adventures.  Until then, good night!

I hope you're feeling better and less jet-laggy! Can't wait to read about the adventures!
