Lacock - The Village

Still more from Saturday's adventure.  Sometimes, I wear myself out!  Here is the village of Lacock.  It's a super cool village with architecture dating back to the 14th century.  The locale has been used as the set of several films and television shows, including the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice, because depending on where you point the camera you can get buildings from different time periods.
A look down one of the streets.  The George Inn is on the left.

Interior of the tithe barn that dates to 14th century.

Exterior of the tithe barn.

Down the streets.  The vehicles annoyed me - they completely ruined the ambiance!

Cute tea room where we stopped to refresh ourselves.

Cool dresser in the tea room.  I love the blue and white.  And all the cakes look delectable.  Please note that the term "cakes" has a much more liberal definition than in America.

The end of the day.  If I try really hard I can imagine out the modern vehicles and pretend the streets are covered with dirt and for just a moment I am in Jane Austen's era.  Sigh . . .
