Here's a quick rundown of what I did over Christmas - in America!!
- Flew 7 and 1/2 hours to Toronto
- At 4:47 I still hadn't cleared customs or security for my 5:00 connecting flight
- The Lord blessed me greatly and they held the plane for me.
- 6:50-ish my plane arrived in Nashville and I was greeted by seven smiling faces with Santa hats on and signs in hand. One read "Welcome to America."
- 8 Glorious Days with my family, 1 was spent at my Grannie's with my mom's side of the family
- Favorite foods including biscuits (the American kind, you know that are soft and flaky and melt in your mouth), real bacon and sausage, a real hamburger, Taco Bell, cornbread, Panera Bread potato soup, Krispy Kreme donuts, and rotel cheese dip. Yummy!! (Mom outdid herself cooking)
- Went to see Charlie Brown in Ice. Very cool (literally, 6 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Long, turbulent flight back to UK
It was great to see my family and enjoy a few American luxuries, like drive-thru fast food, serious shopping sales, and a good mattress.
Hope you had a great Christmas too!
