Box Hill: My Emma Moment

Since we had a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon, some friends of mine and I headed to Box Hill (you guessed it, another National Trust site).  It's most famous as the setting of the infamous picnic in Emma by Jane Austen where Emma behaves badly toward Miss Bates.  Fortunately, there were no such social gaffes on our outing and we had a delightful time.  I even got a sunburn!! Who knew?

A view from the lookout.

Picnickers were everywhere!  I love the different shades of green.

Looking over the valley.  The bad thing about sunny days is that they are usually really hazy and photographs don't always turn out.  But I'm not complaining.  I'll take my sunshine however it comes!
