Favorite British Phrases

I love listening to British people talk. They have such a way with words - very descriptive. Some of my favorite phrases to date are:

"Let's have a think"
Used anytime brainstorming is required or as a way to buy time, i.e. "Well, have a think on it and get back with me."

"Brilliant!!!"
Said whenever anything works right, looks good, goes well, or otherwise calls for an exclamation of praise.

"Yep . . . . yep . . . .yep"
Inserted anywhere I would normally have an "hm-mm", nodding head, etc.

"Cheers"
Could mean enjoy, see you later, have a good day, thanks for your help, etc.

"Give a particular welcome"
Announced during the welcome of visitors during Sunday morning church - it just sounds so quaint.

"Well done!"
Always said quite emphatically and never about meat. It is the highest praise, much like "excellent job" would be in America.

Have you heard the phrase, "'Ello Gov'nor?" I don't know much about it, but it's fun to say. You should try it.

Aw...I love it! I'm particularly partial to "brilliant."
