True story. Today someone asked me "Can I get a squiggle?"
What on earth does that mean?
Let me set the context for you and I'll see if you can guess. Please keep in mind that the context was happening to me and I still had to think about it.

My boiler saga has continued. As you may know, it's been an on-going battle to keep heat and hot water in my flat, but it's such a good location I kind of look past it (well, sort of). Plus, we've now had no trouble for almost 3 1/2 months.
Until Wednesday night. Then with little fanfare or warning, my boiler died. Dead, double dead, really didn't think there was any resurrecting it dead. And we're having a cold snap, so it's been a bit chilly. Thankfully, I knew about the kettle bath courtesy of my MacGyver friend, Erin, and was able to quickly adapt.
When I reported the issue, we were told it could be Saturday before anyone could come out to look at it. So I called in the prayer troops and the Lord provided for us to be squeezed in today. And it happened to be a day when the service engineer who came was being observed by his supervisor. It took the two of them almost two hours, during which time I had to provide information, matches, and multiple buzz-ins (they kept having to get more parts/gear from the truck outside), but in the end they were able to perform major surgery and get the hot water flowing again. Hooray!
As I was inwardly praising God for my newly restored boiler and enjoying leaning against the gloriously warm radiator, one of the engineers interrupted my thoughts to ask "Can I get a squiggle?"

So, with the appropriate context in place . . . any guesses?

a) he wanted your number.
b) he needed to use the bathroom.
c) he needed you signature on the work order.
d) he was thirsty and a squiggle is a more than a squirt but less than a pray of water into a cup.
i'm going to go with (a)
Thanks for the shout-out! I'm SO sorry about the hot water going out; it's such a moment of disillusionment when you realize it.
I think Emily's list is fantastic. (C) sounds the most practical, but I vote for (D).
meant to say spray. not pray.... hahaha...
I vote C.
When are you going to reveal the answer?
Kt
I'm going to guess C -- can I get your signature on my work order?
And the answer is . . . .
Can I get your signature on my work order?
Emily wins for creativity.
Good job!
