Catching Up: Chedworth Roman Villa

So, I need to catch up on my pictures.  Five weeks ago - I know, I'm behind - we spent Julie's last weekend here gallivanting.  Our agenda included three National Trust stops, but thanks to an unanticipated two hour lunch at the only pub that we could find we modified our schedule to just one National Trust site, driving through the countryside, and tea in a cute little town.  It was super foggy all day, so I don't have any photographs of our rambling, but it was definitely the quintessential drive through the English countryside complete with sheep, a flock of pheasants, and rolling hills.

Tile Mosaics from the 4th Century - that's old!

More tiles - that's kind of a neat design in an abstract sort of way.

Tiles in the Roman bath.  They built the floors on stilts and a furnace underneath the building so that the baths would be warm.
