Pancake Day!!

Yesterday was Pancake Day. It is basically the British/European equivalent of Fat Tuesday.

Since I didn't want to be left out of the fun, we made pancakes and ate them with Nutella.

Keep in mind that "pancake" in Europe is not the fluffy "cake" with maple syrup that we have in the States. A pancake is more what we would call a crepe. It is completely flat, a little bit doughy, and normally eaten with lemon juice and sugar here, but I couldn't bring myself to do that. I compromised by being very Czech for an evening and spread Nutella (a chocolate hazelnut spread) on mine, rolled it up, and enjoyed.

If you missed pancakes on Pancake Day I give you permission to make it up today.

Enjoy!

mmmm...pancakes sound good to me. I might start the tradition here in the states...say tomorrow? :) Love you and hope you had a great weekend!

We do that, too! And, by "we", I mean Ukrainians.
