When a tornado is headed your way in northwest TN you can tell. Earlier in the day there is a hush over everything. The air gets still without even a hint of wind rustling through the trees. You can almost feel nature holding its breath.
Normally, when this phenomenon occurs, my blood pressure shoots up, my stomach gets nervous, and I make sure the weather radio is tuned to the right station.
But today, I just sauntered home from work taking in the view.
Why? Because no tornadoes in the UK.
Of course, there is the occasional hurricane (pronounced hurrican), but that's not in the forecast either.
I'm just going to enjoy the quiet.
