Guildford

We took a quick trip to Guildford today - it was nice just to go somewhere different. It was a super cute town with lots of quaint little shops and a nice feel. My favorite part was the old castle gardens. The good thing about the rain here is that it produces flowers like this.

View along the pathway. The colors are so vibrant. I especially like the combination of the yellow and purple. The yellow flowers on the right are carnations. I know they have to grow somewhere, or they wouldn't be available at the florist, but it was still kind of weird to actually see them growing in the ground.

Part of the old wall still standing. It's so movie-esque!

Pink water-lily. It was really pretty.

Anyone thinking of Claude Monet?
