So, here's what an ordinary Saturday looks like:
- Go to the market - super bargains on fresh produce can be found here, for instance cherries are less than half the price that the supermarket sells them for - I splurged and bought two pounds . . . I love cherries!! They also have great deals on pretty much every fruit or vegetable that is in season. Since the market is only "get-to-able" for me on Saturdays, it is rather nice when I don't have gallivanting plans and can take advantage of it.
- Browse - notice I didn't say shop - shopping involves lots of looking and some buying. This was strictly a looking adventure. It didn't take me long to make the rounds of the shops in our town center, but it was nice to have the time to look. The highlight - that actually involved purchase - was lime descaler for my electric kettle. I know this seems a bit boring, but I was pretty excited about it. Since most shops close before I can get to the town center on weekdays it was rather nice to be able to get something practical that is not available at the local supermarket.
- Cook - I LOVE having time to actually cook for myself. I'm always starving when I get home from work and just don't. I usually try to make something that I can eat on during the week as well. Then I get tired of the leftovers and don't make it anymore for months. But still, the act of cooking is what I enjoy.
- Lounge on the couch with a good book - this needs no explanation, except perhaps that I greatly enjoyed it this weekend since I was not reading one of my 10 books, but had instead borrowed one from a friend.
Now, this does not include the givens, laundry, dishes, maybe a bit of craft-time, but it does hit the highlights.
I really do love ordinary days!

Are you telling me you only have 10 books over there with you? Do you not have a local library? or is that a US thing - to go to the library? Do you want to read ebooks on the computer? There's tons of them free (of course).
Love the fact that you are keeping us up on your life! :-)
We do have a small library, but it's hard to get there while it's open. I shall have to make a more concerted effort to do so. Thanks for the reminder!
