The Lake District: The Cottage

Here's a look at our cottage for the weekend. Many thanks to Pam for finding it!

The surroundings added to it. I could hear the bleating of the sheep as I awoke in the morning and fell asleep at night. I'm telling you, the longer I live here the more that the imagery The Bible uses of Jesus as Shepherd and us as sheep comes to life.

This was the stream that lulled us to sleep.

Quintessential stone cottage, complete with slate floors and wood-burning stove. We stayed away from the whole try to figure out the stove thing. That was far too intimidating for me.
