Prior Park Landscape Garden

Prior Park Landscape Garden is located about a 25 minute walk from the Bath city center.  The only problem is that it is uphill (think at least a 25% grade) the entire way.  By the time we reached the top I thought I was going to die!  Fortunately, the view was completely worth it and I burned a lot of calories at the same time.  Here is some of the amazing scenery:

View from the top when you come around the bend from the entrance.  Wow!

It just doesn't get any more Jane Austen-esque than this.  I can see it now - she's out for a walk and it begins to rain, she runs for shelter under the bridge, he's already there . . . and they live happily ever after.

The Bath skyline.  If you look carefully you can see the Abbey to the right, the Royal Crescent is center left, and The Circus is where the great big tree sticking up is (I think).

The melancholy view of the bridge in the background.

The happy/sunny view of the bridge.
