I love sunny days! I spent this one at Hampton Court - former palace of King Henry VIII (and others, but he's the most well known thanks to the song). It was a lovely day - just what I needed.
We started off in the Maze - arguably "the most famous maze in the world." Hmmm . . . which way should we go?
Hooray - we made it!
Now, on to the Rose Garden - sure wish Mom could see these. The garden is at least the size of Weldon Park and it's nothing but roses! The fragrance was amazing.
View of the palace from the rose garden.
The front entrance of the palace.
Does anyone else think his name should be Elliot?
Smurf-land - otherwise known as the Fountain Garden.
The back of the palace as seen from the Privy Garden - so called because it gave the royal family the privacy (pronounced with an i as in igloo, not i as in ice) they needed. Can you imagine having all of this and not sharing it?
The Pond Garden.
Find of the day - they had strawberry SLUSH PUPPIES at the train station. I'm pretty sure I haven't seen one of those since I was maybe ten. It was amazing.

A) Loving the name Elliot.
B) That tunnel looks like the one in "The Sound of Music." :)
